Tofu Potato and Mushroom Patties

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pack ClearSpot Smoked Tofu
  • 1 red onion chopped finely
  • 200 gms mushrooms chopped finely
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 medium potato boiled, peeled and lightly mashed
  • 2 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3-4 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 cup oil to fry


1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and saute the onions till soft.

2. Add the mushrooms and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Cool slightly.

3. Blend this to a smooth paste in a processor with half the tofu, ginger-garlic paste and coriander.

4. Transfer this to a bowl.

5. Add the tomato pasta, mashed potato, half the bread crumbs, vinegar, sriracha and salt to taste. Mix well.

6. Grate the rest of the tofu and add to the bowl. Mix well and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

7. Divide the mix into 6 balls and press together well to form patties.

8. Roll them in breadcrumbs and shallow fry them on a medium-low heat for 4-5 minutes on each side till brown.

9. Drain on paper towels and serve in a burger or separately with a sauce.
